I feel so old and out of date. What the fuck is this? Fuck Yeah Fresh Generation. Tumblr? I didn't realize such a site was so demanding and popular. Heck I just got back on the blog bandwagon, mostly because a lot I have to say (which is a lot) is what most don't want to read on my Facebook posts and Twitter is hella lame with a letter limitation (WTF?). Anyway here I am bitchez.
Apparently there's a hip new generation of Asian kids that I wanna slap over their heads for trying too hard. They're spending too much time taking pictures of themselves and not enough on their homework. No really, why do kids put so much time taking pictures of themselves? Any time I attempt to do such a thing I feel like a fool. These kids have no shame, aint got nothing better to do I guess. I guess we can let them have their fun right?!

after careful consideration, i realized that the everyday blogs i go to have become ultimately...uninspiring. the styling has become ultra boring, ultra contrived, incredibly redundant, etc etc. Its like a whole blogosphere of fashionistas trying to make hooker/stripper shoes look some what decent and immaculate. IT"LL NEVER HAPPEN.

i need to save on money. but i keep buying, make me stop! these are good diy ideas! maybe they'll prevent me from purchasing and bring me back to my creative and crafty self again! i will be reborn!
yesterday, i wore my vintage high waisted skirt all day and to work. i took a picture of myself wearing it and realized that it made me look pregnant. why didnt anybody tell me this??!!
i shouldve known anyway; a tight waisted skirt above a beer belly never has appealing results.

i dont think ive made a post on baking for a long time! ive been making TONS of rice krispie treats, and you know what? im gonna make some more! i made a cheesecake last weekend. undercooked, then overcooked. practice makes perfect, so ill be making tons of cheesecake this summer. Would anyone like some?
Im getting my license soon! After i get my last two wisdom teeth out ill take my test, finally!
oh and i totally cleaned out my closet! unfortunately, i put away all my winter stuff and of course, it starts raining. all the pretty dresses, shirts and sandals are out. cant wait to wear them!
ooo ooo, i book my flight to maine tonight! im gonna have to pull an all nighter because the cheapest ticket from arcata is at 5 am. blegh. i wont be going til august though but im so excited! ive never been to the east coast. ive been wayyyyyyy east (or west, whichever way you want to place asia relatively to the u.s.) but never past nevada.
anything else... nope. for now at least!

As much as i love clothes, im fastidious about what i purchase. I absolutely cannot have anything that someone else might have or is completely mainstream. I love abstract cuts or outrageous designs (though i don't always wear it). I'm trying to bring in more color and patterns to my wardrobe, but its winter, im broke and lazy so it'll be a while before that happens. I love online boutiques like Pixie Market, La Garconne, Creatures of Comfort and OakNYC because they bring in a new focus to style and design for clothing. Too bad i cant afford anything. Boo.

Here are a couple of my new favorite homes to endlessly stare at. One of them is home to stylist (oh how i love looking through stylists closets!) Elisa Nalin and pastry chef Pierre Herme. I have been interested in being a pastry chef and stylist since a child. Though the pastry chef dream has been left behind with my history for failure at baking such a simple food such as cookies. Stylist, well, I guess thats still in the ball park for me if I can only get my foot in the door of the fashion industry (unlikely...). Moving on...
Im going to make some cookie dough and clean out my closet tonight. Anyone wear a size two? Ive got tons of dresses!

So maybe i did have a minute, more or less, to search for some awesome photos. I bring you... SCANWICHES!
Is it me, or did i only post up Vietnamese sandwiches to share for you? Must be my subconsciousness telling me to go to Oakland Chinatown for the best Banh Mi. I did have some in Laos, but to be honest, it wasn't that great to me because i love a crispy crispy crusty bread with lots of hot sriracha sauce on top. They didnt have sriracha sauce (must be a U.S. product. lol) but they did have a sweet chili sauce. It didnt come close to my rooster sauce. I'm getting a really bad hankering for it now, too bad Oakland is about five hours away. Theres always Don's Donuts or just making it yourself (meaning, whine to your asian parents to make it for you).

im pooped. im stumped.
blogs dont necessarily always need verbal content but i dont seem to ever have much to say.
i guess why i prefer images to post rather than actually type anything down. its easier to understand a thought when the whole subject matter is manifested by a picture or image.
have i become that lazy where i cant even write a paragraph down about a simple idea, opinion or thought?
but the pictures that i find are so appealing to the eye (mine at least) that i must share it with everyone! i haven't even posted that many artwork on this blog for a long time, its almost disheartening to think about.
i work almost daily nowadays, and nights i just want to throw myself onto my bed, read and then sleep. Waitressing/Cooking is not fun when you work 6 days a week, from noon to nine.
i guess i dont have the time to waste anymore to just browse online for hours at a time to look for new images. ive been a little more rational as to how i spend my time (im working on being rational with money, but that'll never happen). im trying to actually hang out with my friends more, travel around a bit and work my ass off until i get everything paid off.
Im amazed as to how many goals ive achieved in the 8 months or so. Moving out, going to Laos, getting my permit (license will be soon!), getting good grades, being more active and healthy, etc etc. All this by being more productive and realizing that time is valuable.
I guess im trying to just say that I've a good darn reason not to be blogging as much!
Ok, thats all ive gotta say for now.

I have a new found style icon and her name? Its Sarah Kuhn. She is the accessories editor for Teen Vogue. Teen Vogue is second best in style to the Vogue Paris Girls (No one beats them). They have great use of color, texture and accessories (of course). Thank goodness for greatest site, Refinery 29 for giving us a tour of her home and closet! Check it out here! Its hard not to adore someone who doesnt spend more than $150 on shoes. Impressive!

im always so anxious to get my next issue of Giant Robot every month just so i can start in the back (out of habit do i start reading from the back), straight to the comic page. A definite favorite is hellen jo's section. I think her topics and situations are so relative to me, a probable cause for my love for it. i barely laugh to comics, but hellen can make me crack. Apparently, she got a bad review from Steve Duin, calling her character's morons.

I completely underestimated by neighbors and their perviness.
Remember the Terry Richardson pin up calendar i was needing to be rid of? Well, Hilary, Bonnie and I thought it would be funny to leave it in the lobby and see how long it lasted there. I gave it AT LEAST one to two days til someone took it.
It only last about twenty five minutes til someone grabbed for it. I guess i shouldn't be too surprised...

My main gift for Christmas (meaning sacrificing next years Xmas gift, and the next five years gifts of my birthday) was a trip to Laos and Thailand! I leave in less than twenty days. Exciting eh? im feeling some anxiety just thinking about it. One of my flights of the 48-hour plane flight lands in the main airport in Bangkok and im hoping all will be well there. I wouldn't want to be stuck like these suckers, though their shirts are pretty rad.

I'm drooling at the thought of the endless amounts of thai and lao food available to me while im there.

I wont be limited with just Lao and Thai food though, apparently there's a lot of french bistros and bakeries. That would explain my parents fondness over french bread and condensed milk. In which I'll be eating in just a moment. Mmmmm....Seriously, if you've never tried it, eat it. You'll either thank me for never having tasted such delectable deliciousness or hate me for never having told you earlier, or the fact that your addicted and have gained twenty pounds since. oh well.
